MAM Governance Hierarchy
National Level
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of 19 members is the highest decision-making body, elected at the Annual General Meeting. It includes the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretary General, Treasurer General, and Directors.
Regional Level
MAM divides Malawi into three regions — Northern, Central, and Southern. Each has a Regional Committee that coordinates district activities and implements national programs within their region.
District Level
Each of Malawi's 28 districts has an elected District Committee. District structures manage day-to-day program delivery and represent members at regional and national meetings.
Zone Level
Zone structures operate below district level, at town or village level. Zone leaders are the first point of contact for ordinary members and are responsible for grassroots mobilisation.
Six Standing Sub-Committees
The MAM Family.
In addition to its four-tier structure, MAM recognises 30 affiliated Corporate Organisations — including YMAM (youth), MWO (women), MSA (students), QMAM (Qadriya), BIM, and international partners such as the Kuwait-Malawi Friendship Society.
