Each Ramadan, the Muslim Association of Malawi runs its flagship Iftar Distribution Program — one of the most visible expressions of Islamic generosity in Malawi.
Working through district-level MAM structures and local volunteers, the program provides daily iftar meals at mosques, community centers, and the homes of the most vulnerable. Special focus is given to orphans, widows, prisoners, and families displaced by natural disasters.
The program has grown steadily over the years, now reaching over 12 districts. It is supported by Gulf-based donors, local businesspeople, and individual Malawians who contribute what they can.
