The Machinga Islamic Complex project began in 2023 with the construction of a new masjid in the area of Senior Chief Chiwalo in Machinga district. The masjid was officially opened in 2024 and now serves hundreds of Muslim families.
Future phases will include a Quranic school, community hall, sanitation facilities, and a small health post. The complex is expected to serve over 5,000 community members upon completion.
